we are home educators
Everything we do, from Lesson Lifesavers to The Roots Project, is grounded in lived experience, built for real life, and designed to take the pressure off.
the mission
To make home education easier, more inclusive, and more joyful by providing real tools, welcoming spaces, and community-driven support for families across the UK.
The Vision
A future where home-educating families feel empowered, seen, and connected, no matter their child’s needs, learning style, or background.
What We Do
Lesson Lifesavers
Lesson Lifesavers are printable learning cards designed for real families. They’re low-prep, open-ended, and flexible enough to work around whatever your day looks like. Whether your child is neurodivergent, anxious, or just not into traditional learning, these cards are made to adapt—not demand. They’re perfect for messy mornings, creative sparks, or when you just need a quick win.
The Roots Project
The Roots Project is our weekly community space in Essex for home-ed families. It’s not a class or a club, it’s a place to just be. Kids can explore themed activity zones like gaming, crafts, cooking, tuft trays, or simply hang out. There’s no pressure to join in, and no fixed timetable. Parents can relax or connect with others while children follow their own interests.
Home Educator Events
We organise group trips and experiences that are actually built around home-ed life. That means quieter sessions, neurodivergent-aware spaces, and a chance to make friends without the overwhelm. From zoos and museums to gaming expos and creative workshops, we focus on affordable, welcoming days out that make families feel included.

Our Journey So Far

A Personal Journey
We didn’t set out to start a business, we were just trying to find what worked for our family. Between hospital trips, neurodivergent needs, and the reality of raising four kids, we found ourselves creating our own tools, routines, and support.
That’s how Lesson Lifesavers began, out of sheer necessity. Since then, things have grown. We’ve built a community, created events and resources we wish had existed when we started, and launched The Roots Project to give home-ed families a space to breathe, connect, and learn together.
Everything we do is still grounded in that original goal: to make home education easier, more accessible, and way less lonely.
